TIBETAN CHILDREN'S VILLAGES (TCV)

Because of security considerations, we do not show photographs or biographies of children living in the Villages on this site. Their names and basic biographical information are given below. If you would like more detailed information about a specific child, please contact our office. Please consider sponsoring an older student, or a boy, as they have often been waiting much longer for support.

TCV Outreach Program

Children served by the TCV Outreach Program reside at home with their families. The requested monthly sponsorship contribution is $30.00 USD per month, which helps the family to meet their children's everyday needs, including meals, clothing, and basic medical care. Children served by the Outreach Program may need support for only one to two years, if the family's financial condition improves.

TCV Residential Program

Children who reside in the Tibetan Children's Villages have often left their families behind in Tibet and come into exile seeking fundamental human freedoms, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of association. In other cases, parents who have come into exile seeking a new life for themselves send their children to live at TCV in order for them to receive a high quality education in a culturally appropriate setting. Children living in the Villages generally need sponsorship through the end of high school. The requested monthly sponsorship contribution is $30.00 - $40.00 USD per month (full sponsorship is $40 USD, but we welcome sponsors who can contribute at the level of $30 USD per month.)
